Okay, so I just finished this great game by the Adventure Company yesterday called Keepsake. I had another game by them once that I was in love with, and this one definitely didn't disappoint, either, though the ending was rather sad and unexpected. Anyway, here's the basics of it:

It's a point-and-click PC RPG. You step into the role of Lydia, a girl heading to Dragonvale Academy to learn magic and become a mage. When you get there, the entire school is completely deserted, and you find a wolf named Zak who claims to be a "mighty dragon" that got tricked into drinking a shapeshifting potion by some students, who then locked him in a cabinet, which is where you find him. Working together with Zak, you must explore the school and search for clues to solve the mystery of everyone's disappearance, eventually realizing that there's something perhaps a bit sinister going on at the academy. You and Zak must then find out what, and find the students and teachers in order to rescue them. The ghost of Master Nightingale later tells you that "time is against us, young one." Early in the game, Zak's heightened sense of smell will lead you, by the scent of perfume, to a doll in the garden. This doll was a gift from Lydia to her best friend Celeste years earlier. Now you know something must have happened, because Celeste promised that she would always keep the doll with her.

Anyway, I don't want to really spoil it in case anyone ever wants to play it, but Zak's not actually who---or, rather, WHAT---he says he is, and my mind, being what it is, has conjured up the idea of what if, later on, he and Lydia become a little more than just friends, you know?

Thoughts? Questions about the game, Zak, or Lydia? Thoughts?
